Every Day

Have you got your picks?

Yeah, we got 'em

Are your shovels sharp?

Uh-huh

Then, let's find a cave

(On the mountain trail)

And we'll dig down deep

(Til we fill the pail)

Let's go!

Let's go!

Every day, we dig dig dig

Diggity diggity dig dig dig

The sun may be shinin', but we don't give a fig

'Cause we gotta get to work & dig dig dig

Every day, we pick pick pick

Pickity pickity pick pick pick

The birds may be singin', but we don't give a lick

'Cause we gotta dig dig & pick pick pick

Here we are, searching near & far

For our glimmer of litter of lo

Here we go, searching high & low

And someday we'll find it, I know...

So everyday, we tap tap tap

Tappity tappity tap tap tap

We won't dilly-dally & we won't take a nap

We gotta dig dig dig

We gotta pick pick pick

We gotta tap tap tap...

Every day, I dust the books,

Neaten the crannies & sweep the nooks,

Hang seven hats on seven little hooks

When I'm done, how nice it looks

Every day, I seem to grow

Little by little, from head to toe

Isn't it lucky that I've learned to sew?

Add another hem & away I go...

Add a hem, add a cuff

Make it bigger so there's room enough

Hem hem hem

Cuff cuff cuff

Hem hem hem & cuff cuff cuff

Dig dig dig dig dig dig dig dig

Pickity pickity pickity pickity pickity pickity pickity pickity

Tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap

Dig dig dig dig...

Pickity pickity pickity pickity...

Tap tap tap tap tap tap...

Dig (Tap tap...)

Dig (Tap tap...)

Dig (Tap tap...)

Dig (Tap tap...)

Dig (Tap tap...)

Dig (Tap tap...)

Little friends, when this growing ends

Though I love you, I simply can't stay

Your house is small

Soon, I'll be too tall

And I'll have to be on my way...

Maybe there's a castle where

Some nice prince has room to spare

We'd make a large but very lovely pair

And I could even stand up straight out there

But til the day I just don't fit,

Beds to be made & lamps to be lit

I'll bend my knees & then my head won't fit

As I keep growing bit by bit...

Every day, when work is through

And our little house comes into view,

There's something special that we like to do

We holler, "Hey, Snow White!"

She answers -

"Yes, that's right?"

We holler, "What's to eat?"

She answers -

"Wipe those feet"

Oh, every day there's work to do

Looking for gold -

And cooking up stew

We've sure been busy

But we're still not through

We've gotta dig down deep -

I've gotta sweep sweep sweep -

We've gotta move this dirt -

I've gotta hem my skirt -

We've gotta dig dig dig -

I'm gettin' big big bigger...

Every day!
